"If you don’t, you will always look back wishing you had."
That's the view of a hospice skydiver, who is encouraging you sign up now for the Superhero Skydive in aid of Andy’s, the children’s hospice based here at St Andrew’s.
Daredevils and thrillseekers aged 16 and over are being urged to book their place before it’s too late, on what is one of the most popular challenges we organise.
It’s taking place on Saturday, May 27 at Hibaldstow Airfield, near Brigg, as part of nationwide Children’s Hospice Week celebrations.
Shane Briggs (pictured on his skydive) manages the hospice’s shop in Immingham, and has also taken part in the charity’s skydive to raise funds for Andy’s.
He said: “It was always something I wanted to do. It was a fantastic time and I even managed to persuade some of my friends to do it with me.
“The support we all received was amazing. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I would say to anyone thinking of it – ‘If you don’t, you will always look back wishing you had’.
“The work St Andrew’s Hospice does is so important to the people using our services and their families and friends, during challenging times."
The jumps are tandem with an instructor, and participants are required to raise a minimum of £409, which includes the £209 skydive fee.
Register by March 27 online at www.standrewshospice.com/superheroskydive or call the hospice’s events manager, ZaZa Warren, on 01472 571268. Another hospice skydive is taking place on Saturday, September 16, also at Hibaldstow.
