Hospice ambassador George Kavanagh's latest fundraiser runs until the end of August.

Hospice ambassador George Kavanagh's latest fundraiser, Quest4Ten, continues apace.

The 12-year-old has been fundraising for the hospice since 2014, after his father Greg died in our care.

Since moving to secondary school in September, George has been very busy making new friends and taking one of the lead roles in the school’s production of Grease.

The Mayor of North East Lincolnshire visited the school and George was inspired by her efforts to raise funds for her chosen charities. He thought to himself ‘I haven’t done anything for the hospice for a while’ and has come up with Quest4Ten.

He will take on challenges or missions from the public in return for £10 donations, such as car washing, going without technology, dog walking and so on. He wants to raise £500 by the end of August.

If you want to set George a challenge, call Lucy Wood at the hospice on 01472 350908 or lucy.wood9@nhs.net, or through George’s Facebook page – search BGT’s George Kavanagh.

(If you’re wondering why BGT, he got onto the show last year and auditioned this year).
