Hundreds, if not thousands, of people attended a Family Fun Day.
Havelock Academy has raised £590.81 at a Family Fun Day in aid of St Andrew’s Hospice.
Deputy principal Darren Wood said: “It was a great day. Hundreds, if not thousands, of people attended and the feedback was brilliant.
“I really do believe that it brought the whole of Havelock’s community together, and the fact that we were able to raise such a significant amount of money for such a fantastic cause just added to that community feel.
“I would like to thank all the staff members who gave up their time to make the day possible, the students who ran stalls and organised events to make the event what it was, and David Ross, of the David Ross Education Trust which Havelock is ap art of. Mr Ross supported the day and helped make the event possible.
“Events like the Family Fun Day epitomises what we are trying to achieve at Havelock. We rightly demand the highest of standards, but we collectively celebrate the successes and results that those expectations bring. Community is at the very heart of this academy.”
