Join us at Grimsby Minster for this year's service.
Join is for our annual Light Up A Life service in the majestic setting of Grimsby Minster.
This year sees the introduction of the Ribbon of Remembrance – a new way to cherish memories, or simply remember those who cannot be with us this Christmas, for whatever reason.
The Ribbon of Remembrance package costs £25, which consists of:
- The Star Frame – The name of the person you are remembering will be written inside a silver star-shaped frame and hung on a silver ribbon around the tree at the Grimsby Minster for the Light Up A Life service. It will then be brought to St Andrew’s Hospice and displayed on a tree there until December 19, when it can be collected for you to take home.
- The Light Up A Life Virtual Brick –The Buy A Brick appeal was launched to support the hospice’s ongoing £6.5-million redevelopment , which saw the charity move into purpose-built facilities in Peaks Lane, Grimsby. A special version of the appeal has been created for Light Up A Life. Your brick will include a message of up to 30 characters, including spaces and punctuation, and displayed on a virtual brick wall in the hospice reception area, on its website and online donation page.
- Star Badge – You will receive one of our traditional star pin badges, which have come to symbolise Light Up A Life over the years.
- The option of up to two tickets for the service at the Grimsby Minster.
This is limited to just 200; fifty packages are available here and 150 from the hospice’s reception.
The usual way of supporting Light Up A Life, through a donation to the appeal, is also available. Existing hospice supporters will receive information through the post, forms can be obtained from the hospice reception or you can donate here.
We'd like to take this opportunity to say thank-you to the Humber Belles, who are kindly performing at the service again this year.
