Our shop in Scartho held a fashion show with a difference.
Second Gear, our clothing shop in Pinfold Lane, Scartho, have raised almost £50,000 for the hospice by holding incredibly popular fashion shows.
This year, they held a show with a difference - visitors indulged in a delicious, home-made afternoon tea too.
The change in format - which saw models visiting each table to display their outfits, accompanied by pianist Matthew Jeffrey - was declared successful by organiser Jean Frith, Second Gear's volunteer shop manager.
About 80 shoppers attended the event at Scartho Methodist Church Hall, and many purchases were made.
Jean said:"I'm delighted at how well the event has gone. Everyone seems to have enjoyed themselves, and have purchased some lovely items of clothing while enjoying beautiful cakes and scones, all of which were freshly cooked just hours before by volunteers Stella and Sheila."
