Hospice supporter Ted Ford is hosting his last ever sale of artwork.
Long-time hospice supporter Ted Ford is opening his artists' studio for one afternoon to raise funds for the charity.
Ted, an award-winning gardener and talented artist, has regularly invited the public to view his beautifully-maintained gardens over the years.
Studio Camargue, the garden studio where he paints, is opening on Sunday, August 6 between 2pm and 4pm for a sale of artwork, and 25 per cent of any sales made on the day will be donated to the hospice.
Ted, 89, is a retired building company owner and is married to Cynthia. The couple have raised hundreds of pounds for St Andrew’s, and Ted has given hours of his time to the charity, including landscaping the hospice's gardens.
He said: “This will probably be my swan song for the hospice. We are bringing the open days to a close to enjoy more time together, so please support us.
“There will be a variety of landscapes on sale, and some paintings of Royal residences too. Prices are from £20 to £100, and there is a mix of originals and prints. Almost all are framed.
“Everyone is most welcome to visit, and have some refreshments while enjoying the permanent outdoor artwork on display in my garden too.”
Ted’s studio is at 4 Camargue Avenue, Waltham, and admission is free. There will also be a raffle and hospice merchandise on sale.
If you are unable to attend or a group would like a special viewing of the artwork, please call Ted on 01472 822330.
