Our recently refurbished shop in Cleethorpes has the wow factor.

Customers at the hospice’s recently refurbished shop in St Peter’s Avenue, Cleethorpes, have given it the thumbs-up.

The store closed for over a week to allow builders to install a new floor and new fittings and equipment. The building, a former mobility shop, was also given new electrics during its transformation.

It was unveiled to volunteers first before re-opening officially to the public, as reported, and its new look has been welcomed.

Manager Dawn Gordon said: “It certainly looks very different, and people’s reactions as they have returned since we opened have been mostly ‘wow’.

“We have some very loyal customers here in Cleethorpes, as well as tourists and visitors who pop in to see what they can find and also support the cause, so we are very lucky in that respect.

“I’m delighted with the public’s reaction and I look forward to continuing to welcome shoppers old and new.”

Simon Vicary, Head of Retail at the hospice, added: “The Cleethorpes shop has been one of our most successful over the last decade but was no longer at the high standard of our newer shops. Because we want that success to continue, we have made the improvements and we are very pleased.”
