Important bank holiday information and hospice updates

Thank you for your patience as we observe the national mourning period, following the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II.

St Andrew’s Hospice provides around the clock end of life care to those in need of our services, and we have therefore been working behind the scenes so that hospice staff can continue to welcome patients into the hospice as normal, whilst also respectfully continuing with essential signature fundraising activities.

With this in mind, we would like to announce that Sunday evening is the cut-off time for people wanting to register for our Sparkle Walk online (click here for details).  Any new registrations for the Saturday, September 24 event will need to call 01472 350908.  We would also like to say thank you to those who participated in our bi-annual, signature Skydive at Hibaldstow, on Saturday, September 17.  More to follow later in the week.

Please note that the bank holiday for HM Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral will be observed by administrative staff, and our shops and The Coffee Retreat will be closed until Tuesday.  The adult unit and any patient care will continue as usual (patients have been directly notified if there are any changes), with the hospice open to visitors as normal.

The national period of mourning will last until the end of the day of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, on Monday, September 19.  St Andrew’s Hospice will return to normal communications and fundraising activities on Tuesday, September 20.

Our thoughts remain with the Royal Family and those affected by the death of our late monarch, at this sad time.
