Sponsorship Tips
Ways to help you make the most of your fundraising!
- Create a JustGiving page
One of the easiest ways for people to sponsor you is to direct them to your JustGiving page so they can make an easy contactless card payment. It is also easier for yourself as the money donated to the page comes directly to the hospice. - Share share share
Get sharing on all your social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and LinkedIn to maximise your reach to all potential sponsors. Don’t forget to tag us in your posts so we can help and share as well. You can find us on Facebook @StAndrewsHospice, Instagram @standrewshospicegrimsby, TikTok @standrewshospice, Twitter @HelpStAndrews and LinkedIn @St Andrew’s Hospice Grimsby.

3. Tell your work colleagues
Speak to your work colleagues about the amazing event you’re doing in aid of St Andrew’s and explain to them how their donation can help us to provide the best palliative care for all of our patients.
4. Get your clubs and groups involved
If you’re a part of a club or group, such as brownies or a fitness club, speak to them about what you’re doing and maybe they’ll even join you!
5. Inform your teachers and peers
Why not get your friends at school and teachers involved and tell them the fun you’re going to have and how the money you’re raising is for such a good cause.
6. Keep everyone updated
If you’re training for your event then let people know the effort you’re going to and how much of a challenge it is personally for you. This will not only help you get new sponsors but also may even get people who have sponsored to sponsor again when they see how excited you are and the lengths you will go to.
7. Share our hospice stories
Why not tell people what their donation can help us to achieve by sharing our stories from children like Alfie and Lily-Mae. When people understand what they’re donating for and the help it will bring they will be more likely to donate a greater amount.
8. Share your own story
There is no better way to tell someone why they should donate then with your own personal story. Are you doing this fundraiser in memory of someone or do you know someone who is currently at the hospice or is this a charity you have always supported? Tell them what it means to you.
9. Spread the word
Lastly and most importantly, share with ALL your friends and family, whether they’re local or not they are more than likely to still support you.
