St Andrew’s Hospice continued its 40th anniversary celebrations with the launch of its corporate giving package, at an event held in the Hub at the hospice on Tuesday 9 April.

Guests from business across Lincolnshire and the Humber Region enjoyed a show-round at the hospice and talks from the charity’s fundraising team, and corporate supporters of St Andrew’s.

Michelle Rollinson, Chief Executive at the hospice, welcomed attendees to the event.

“It was fantastic to see so many people visiting the hospice to find out more about the services we provide,” she said.

“We could not continue to provide these services without the support of local business, and it a pleasure to be able to give them a glimpse of what we do here.”

Becky Darnell is Charity Fundraising and Campaigns Lead at the hospice, and she hosted the event.

She said: “As the hospice enters its 40th year, we need corporate support more than ever.

“That is why we are constantly hosting events and providing opportunities for businesses to support us.

“Which is why we have launched our special corporate brochure, which shows businesses the benefits they can receive from supporting the hospice.”

Talks on the night came from Rob Walsh, Chief Executive of North East Lincolnshire Council, who is running the London Marathon for the hospice, Glenn Thow, Managing Director of LCS Group, who hosted the Charity Race Car Cup on behalf of Andy’s, the children’s unit at St Andrew’s.

John Armson, Emergency Services Performance Manager at HFR Solutions, introduced a new scheme to support the hospice that involves holidays for young patients and families on a bespoke river cruising boat and Joanne Taylor, Deputy Manager at the Business Hive in Grimsby, spoke about the success of their Lucas the Bear fundraiser.

In addition, Becky announced the start of the hospice’s Heart My Hospice campaign. An online fundraiser tailored towards businesses, and a special 40th anniversary ball, which will take place at the Humber Royal Hotel on Friday 27 September.
