Dig out your favourite festive sweater and encourage your friends, family and colleagues to dress up this Christmas and raise funds for St Andrew’s Hospice.
We are holding our own Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 15 December and we are asking participants to don their wackiest, winter woollies and donate to the hospice for the busy festive season.
Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year and participants are encouraged to spread that joy around their homes, workplaces and schools, as well as raising funds for a local charity at the same time.
It is easy for participants to take part, just call St Andrew’s Hospice fundraising team on 01472 571 265 or e-mail email@example.com. Please state if you would like a collection tin for your school or workplace, so that you can gather donations.
We will then look to send our photographers out on the day to get some quirky snaps to share on our social media.
Alison Lark, Hospice Representative is looking forward to some fun, festive frolics for charity.
She said: “Everyone likes to have a little fun at Christmas and it is even better when you can do it for a good cause.
“Christmas Jumper Day is something we can all take part in, from the boss to your friends, grandparents, even your pet!
“You can take part at work, school or home – the most important thing is to take part.
“We will be on the look-out for the craziest Christmas jumper across our social media channels and we will have a special prize for the winner.”
Funds raised will go to support St Andrew’s Hospice, enabling the organisation to continue providing a vital facility at the heart of local communities.
“Most of us are fortunate enough to spend the festive season how we choose but, for some of our families, that is unfortunately not the case.
“They require specialist care 24 hours a day and that is where the holistic nature of St Andrew’s comes to the fore.
