St Andrew’s Hospice in Grimsby has unveiled its range of charity Christmas Cards for 2018, featuring some new themes for the palliative care specialists.

For the first time, the children of Andy’s have come together to design a special seasonal greetings card, which will be sold throughout the charity’s 20 stores and two Tea Bars, prior to Christmas.

In addition, the charity has decided to produce a unique version for its corporate supporters, which is now available to buy flat and ready to personalise with your own festive messages inside to send to clients, colleagues and customers.

Tom Ryan, Head of Retail at St Andrew’s Hospice said: “Make a real difference at Christmas this year and help your local Hospice by sending a memorable greeting card to your clients, colleagues and customers.

“Andy’s the children’s and young person’s service, delivers care to those aged from birth to 25 years old with life-limiting illness who live in Greater Lincolnshire, Hull and East Riding.

“Continued provision of this vital service is only made possible by the generosity and assistance of the surrounding community.”

Two of the young patients that helped create the special Andy’s Christmas card (above) are two-year-old Oscar and Tia, who is nearly six.

Due to a severe brain injury, Oscar has quadriplegia cerebral palsy and infantile spasms. His mum says he loves his time at St Andrew's Hospice and would like to thank everyone who supports the Hospice to make his time here possible.

Tia has West syndrome. She loves coming to St Andrew’s Hospice and enjoys listening to and making music, playing with the sensory toys and rolling around on the sensory magic carpet.

Her mum says that Tia's Hospice stays are the only time that she gets an overnight break from looking after her and this allows her to spend time with her friends.

In addition to the Andy’s Christmas card, there is also a special card with artwork from renowned Grimsby artist, Colin Carr (1929-2002) (above) and three standard Christmas designs.

Personal Christmas cards are available from any of St Andrew’s Hospice and Andy’s 20 shops and two tea bars. The full brochure of Christmas cards can be downloaded here.
