Our popular charity fundraiser Sparkle Walk is back for 2018 with a new look, new route, new time and a brand new race aimed at all the family.

The Sparkle Moonlight Walk will take place on the evening of Friday 1 June and, for the first time, will feature a 5-kilometre family walk, starting at 7pm.

In addition, the annual Ladies’ event is now the 10-kilometre Sparkle Moonlight Walk, which starts at 10pm.

Both events start and finish at the Beachcomber in Cleethorpes and there will be a free t-shirt and medal for all participants.

The route will now take even more of the beautiful seaside resort of Cleethorpes.

Alison Lark is Charity Fundraising and Events Coordinator for St Andrew’s Hospice and she is looking forward to the new-look event.

She said: “The Moonlight Sparkle Walk is a 10-kilometre walk with a difference.

“It is part serious activity, part social event and, with the addition of a Family 5k earlier in the evening, we are hoping to get the whole family involved and raise awareness across the whole spectrum of ages not just our “Sparkle Ladies”.

“We are hoping there will be entertainment along the way with a view to making an upbeat party atmosphere. “
