In House Complementary Therapies

At St Andrew’s Hospice, we aim to provide the very best in compassionate care to all in our local community. We offer a wide range of complementary therapies to our patients, their families and all in the community. Our 60 minute sessions will help reduce tension, detox you brain and body and ultimately give you the quality time to yourself to relax and rejuvenate.

The Complementary Therapies We Provide

All of our therapists are trained and qualified in the treatment they are providing. These are the complementary therapies that we offer at St Andrew’s Hospice.


A therapy which originated in Japan and translates as universal (red) and energy (ki). During the session, you remain fully clothed and in a comfortable position. Reiki is a good choice if you are looking for a deep relaxation therapy, promoting a sense of peace and wellbeing. The therapist works by placing their hands on or over the body, many have found this therapy a deep, uplifting and peaceful experience.

Target Specific Massage

Massage therapy aims to relax you mind and body by putting different pressure points on your muscles. Massage can help to stimulate your circulation, relax your core muscles and help you to cope with stress, anxiety and relieve pain. you may also see improvements in your mood, sleep pattern and overall wellbeing.

Indian Head Massage

An Indian Head Massage will help to release stress accumulated over time in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders. Our therapist will gently stimulate and stroke pressure points to help relieve tension, stress, headaches and fatigue. This experience is deeply calming and will leave you feeling revitalised.
