15 hours per week
The successful candidate will assist in the effective running of the Catering Department, providing an efficient, effective and friendly service to patients, staff, volunteers and visitors, whilst ensuring that the highest standards are consistently achieved.
In addition, you will be responsible for stock ordering and menu planning, cooking freshly prepared, home cooked nutritious food and a knowledge of special dietary requirements, would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will have experience working unsupervised and with the ability to run and operate a busy kitchen, in the absence of the Catering Manager / Cook in Charge.
You must hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent, a basic Food Hygiene certificate and have a minimum of one year’s experience in a catering role.
Flexibility is essential as the working hours are based on an internal rotation which includes days, early evenings and regular weekends.
