With an excellent reputation both in the local community and beyond, we reach over 800 patients and their families in North East Lincolnshire and our wider catchment area of Lincolnshire, Hull and East Yorkshire for our children’s services.

The contributions of volunteers to St Andrews Hospice is significant. This role plays a key part in the ‘volunteering journey’.


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Human Resources team as a Volunteer Officer – Well-being. The role has particular responsibility for acting as a central point of contact for all volunteer activities, working within the wider Human Resources function and team.

Leading on key initiatives and activities such as volunteer wellbeing and social events, training and development, audits and cross cutting activities such as the effective use of volunteer software and communications planning.  The post holder will also ensure all our volunteers are able to achieve their aspirations, develop their skills and given the relevant training and support.

This role requires someone who has excellent interpersonal skills, effective organisation skills and a calm and logical approach to problem solving.  Key to this role is someone who can lead and work as part of a team and has a positive approach to work and is committed to developing a vibrant community of volunteers.
