Our Services

Wellbeing Support

Our Wellbeing Services help you to live well by being as in control of your condition as possible and, where appropriate, achieve the things that are important to you.

Adult hospice

The adult inpatient unit at St Andrew’s Hospice is a welcoming, homely environment where patients can receive round-the-clock nursing care and compassion.

Bereavement Support

The North East Lincolnshire Bereavement Support Service is delivered by St Andrew’s Hospice in partnership with CRUSE and the Care Plus Group, offering specialist care to anyone who has suffered a bereavement.

Lymphoedema

Our specialist Lymphoedema Service provides advice, support and treatment for patients who have secondary lymphoedema related to a cancer diagnosis or progressive life-limiting disease.

Children's hospice

At Andy’s we care for children and young adults whose lives will sadly not be as long as they should be. We help families to “make each day count” and enable every child to live life to the fullest, creating lasting memories and leaving their mark on the world.

Ebony's Story

"I feel at ease leaving Ebony at Andy’s as I know she is not only safe at the hospice but that she is happy being here as it’s like a mini holiday for her."

Who We Are

St Andrew’s Hospice is a registered charity providing hospice care services for adults, children and their families who are adjusting to a life living with life-limiting conditions, up to their death and into family bereavement support.

St Andrew’s Hospice has been delivering palliative care for over 40 years to people across North East Lincolnshire and for 18 years to children from the whole of Lincolnshire, Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Our hospice care services both in the community and in our buildings, under one roof, provide high quality, person-centred, holistic palliative care.

How can you help?

It currently costs £5.5-million a year to provide free care for everyone who needs our services. Without your generosity we simply would not exist. Your kindness means we can continue to be there when families turn to us for help!

Time

Donating your time is as equally beneficial to our hospice as monetary donations. Our volunteers are vital in enabling us to offer the home from home hospice environment we strive for.

Items

We rely on the generosity of your donations to keep our charity shops stocked. All the profits from our shops go towards providing specialist hospice care.

Money

Every donation we receive, no matter how big, contributes to the running of the hospice. We are truly grateful for every pound you can spare, as are our patients and their families who benefit.

Goods

£1 saved is the equivalent to £1 raised. We're so grateful to our corporate supporters who have provided items, equipment or services to help us reduce our costs and build for the future.

How we have helped

Our amazingly supportive community has helped us care for so many patients in the local area through their kind donations and contributions. In the 3 years from 2016-2019 we achieved some great things:

361

361 patients used Andy's Children's Hospice

1,000+

Over 1000 patients accessed our wellbeing services

834

834 admissions to adult inpatient service

1,028

1028 people used our bereavement support services

Whats On

We host a multitude of events each year to raise the crucial funds for the hospice and bring our community together. Although we are currently unable to meet in person, we hope you will join us for the virtual alternatives we have arranged.
