Big Fish Lottery player "amazed" to win top prize

Congratulations to Big Fish Lottery winner Marie, who started supporting St Andrew’s Hospice when her niece Claire was under our care.

Marie, who recently won one of our weekly £1,000 jackpot prizes, said: “My partner and I have taken part in the Big Fish Lottery for many years now.

“We were originally inspired by the care the hospice gave our niece, then two years ago my beautiful mum Gill came to St Andrew’s Hospice for end-of-life care.

“She was looked after with love and compassion, which made our final days with mum much easier to bear. Our family will always be grateful for the care St Andrew’s Hospice gave to her.”

Julianne Jessett, Lottery Fundraiser and Coordinator for the Big Fish Lottery, said: “It's one of the nicest calls I get to make. It's lovely to make somebody's day.

“Through playing the Big Fish Lottery, all participants are in with a chance of winning whilst supporting the running of the hospice. It's a win-win for everyone.”

Marie said she was "amazed" to win a prize, adding: "I never normally win anything. I will be donating some back to St Andrew’s Hospice and put the rest towards a holiday.

“I would encourage everyone who can, to take part in the Big Fish Lottery or donate to St Andrew’s through alternative means.

“They do fantastic work in helping vulnerable people within our community and further afield.”

To be in with a chance of being our next jackpot winner, sign up to the Big Fish Lottery for just £1 a week: https://support.standrewshospice.com/register
