Head to Humberston Country Club on August 14.
Three businesswomen have joined forces to host a family fun spectacular for St Andrew’s Hospice.
Emily Cook, Amie Nipper and Naomi Welbourne, from Grimsby, will use their combined event management and entrepreneurial skills to host the event at Humberston Country Club on Sunday, August 14 from 10am to 4pm.
There promises to be entertainment for all the family, including a bouncy castle, fun fair games, stands, a sweet stall and more. And admission has been deliberately kept low – at £3 per person or free for under-5s – to make it affordable for all.
Amie, 26, is a venue stylist and also works at St Andrew’s Hospice as a nursing assistant. She is pictured (right) with hospice representative Lauren Alexander (middle) and Naomi (left).
She said: “I joined the hospice in September and absolutely love it.
“It’s such a happy, fun and interesting place, and I meet so many different types of people.
“People hear the word ‘hospice’ and sometimes assume negative things. It is the exact opposite of that.”
Naomi, also from Grimsby, has recently taken over Louth Bridal Boutique and is thoroughly enjoying running her own business. Emily is an event planner.
The trio have become firm friends and could think of no better charity to support than the hospice.
Naomi said: “We are really excited. It’s going to be an event that everyone can enjoy, and we’ve been sure to make it affordable. Although it’s a family fun day and there are attractions for children, adults haven’t been left out either.
“Miss Grimsby, Millie Margetts, will be attending and the hospice itself will be manning a Sparkle Station, where anyone can have their faces painted in glitter.
“We’ve been working on it for weeks, so really hope the community turns out to enjoy what’s on offer and support an excellent cause.”
Louth Bridal Boutique is holding a fashion show on October 18 at The Brackenborough, Louth, from 7pm. For more information, call 01507 654569.
