Neil Hirst, who works at Today’s Newsagents in New Waltham has set himself a huge challenge to see in the New Year: for the next four weeks he will be on a strict diet, aiming to raise vital funds in aid of St Andrew’s Hospice.
Today’s Newsagents have sponsored Neil £100 for every 1lb he manages to lose before 31 January, and he hopes that he will be able to gather more support from the local community.
“I started 2020 wanting to make a difference to people who may be having a hard time. I have a personal connection with the hospice, and can see the hard work that they do for us as a community. I’m hoping to raise as much money as possible to help them to continue to care for people.
“My work have been really supportive and have set me in good stead with my fundraising. But if anyone feels they would like to help too, then I’d ask them to contact the hospice firstname.lastname@example.org”
