Golfers swing their clubs for annual charity golf day, despite Coronavirus restrictions the event was a huge success and raised thousands in aid of Andy's Children's Hospice and other local charities.

The Kenwick Park Charity Day raises money for local causes every year, whilst keen golfers enjoy the competition and the chance to win some prizes. This year the group chose Andy's Children's Hospice again as one of their 3 chosen charities to donate to. Despite the miserable weather conditions, everyone still got involved and raised an amazing total of £2200 in aid of Andy's Children's Hospice.

It is with thanks to the participants, sponsors and the generosity of so many supporters, that they were able to raise this amazing total. Sponsors on the day included Lexus Managing Director Steve Kelly, Paul Wiseman and Tri-Pack Packaging Solutions. Thanks also goes to those who sponsored holes, gave cash donations and those who helped make sure the day was a complete success.

Event Organiser, Steve Clarke said:
"I may be a tad biased but i think that these are awesome numbers, against a background of 6 months of restrictions which. has led to an almost complete absence of such fundraisers in 2020. So for the whole Kenwick crew to step up against such a background, and muster £6,600 for the charities is excellent, and everyone should allow themselves a moment of pleasant reflection."

Andy's Children's Hospice relies on the support of the local community to help us continue to provide care and support to young children with life-limiting illnesses in the wider Lincolnshire area. Donations of this kind will help ensure each day counts for those that access our services, and that families such as Hektor's, get the support they need.
