One-day music festival raises £1,000.
A one-day music festival featuring local artists who all gave their time for free has raised £1,000 for St Andrew’s Hospice.
A variety of artists took part in the OctFest Charity Day at The County Hotel, in Brighowgate, Grimsby, performing before a packed crowd of supporters.
The annual event was organised by Wayne Gould, and landlords Dawn and John Taylor, who were delighted at the result.
Wayne said: “It was a brilliant day. Everyone was so supportive, and people stayed from very early on until it ended.
“The artists who gave up their time for free were fantastic and we can’t thank them enough. It amazes me that people are always so generous.”
The event, supported by North Lincs Tyres, DFDS and County customers, saw Dean Fox, Eddie Soulfinger, Shane Croft, Alex Barton, Afro Dizzy Act, Rob Bishop, Rob Palmer and Gary Starke take to the stage, compered by Marcus and technically supported by Bob and Jo Wright.
A special performance was given by four-year-old Hadley, otherwise known as Peanut, who is Dawn’s grandson.
OctFest will take place again on October 8, 2017, from 1pm until late at The County. If you would like to sponsor the event, or provide a raffle prize, phone 01472 354422 or email email@example.com
