Thousands of pounds have been raised at this year's Strictly Get Dancing.

Strictly Get Dancing 2017 was held on Saturday at The Beachcomber, Cleethorpes, before a cheering audience... and oh what a night it was!

Dave Roberts and Suzanne Burley were crowned winners, followed by Karoline Godley and Kristian Kauss in second, and Joanne and Glen Hewson in third.

Dave and Suzanne, both from Cleethorpes, are beginners at Clifton’s Dance Academy.

Dave said: “My wife passed away and in the later years of her life, St Andrew’s Hospice made her very comfortable and I cannot thank them enough.”

Eight local couples were taught for weeks beforehand by Grimsby's well-known tutors Keith and Judy Clifton. They were taught the Tango and the Jive for the competition, which has raised thousands of pounds for the hospice.

ZaZa Warren, events manager at the hospice, said: "Thank you so much to everyone who supported Strictly Get Dancing.

"It was a fabulous night, full of glitter, glitz and glamour, and everyone left with big smiles on their faces."
