On the 17th October 2019, our premises manager Rob Baty attended the Grimsby In Bloom awards. This was a night to support our local voluntary community gardening campaigns, which involved some of the St Andrew’s Hospice volunteers.
During the evening Grimsby achieved an overall Gold Standard award thanks to all the volunteers who make a difference to forgotten landscapes in the town.
What also came as a surprise was that our hospice was recognized by the East Midlands Britain In Bloom Judges for its high standards of horticultural excellence.
They said “we were very impressed with the gardens at St Andrew’s Hospice, particularly the hard work of all the staff and volunteers and the high standards in a variety of different areas”.
Grimsby In Bloom promotes initiatives within the community which improve the environmental presentation of Grimsby for the benefit of residents, visitors and local business. Helping to make a better community for everyone!
