During the past week the Ultimate Packaging HQ on Europarc Industrial Estate was turned into a bouncy playground. Chris ‘Tigger’ Tonge, Director at Ultimate Packaging launched his 24 hour bounce-athon on Monday 7th October.

He bounced along to topical tunes in his fabulous Tigger suit up until Friday 11th October in aid of St Andrew’s Hospice and Andy’s Children Hospice.

Visitors were also invited for a trip down memory lane where they could take part in the bouncy assault course in the Ultimate Digital Centre in the quickest time possible. Guests were also able to dress up as a multitude of bouncy characters from Tigger to frogs! They were even joined my Mario & Luigi themselves! The event coincided with National Hospice Care Week, which ran all of last week.

Throughout the 5 days there was plenty for people to get involved in as they were joined by Jack Coward - Military Veteran turned person trainer who warmed every one up and even gave Chris a much needed sports massage to ensure he could carry on bouncing at his best for the rest of the week. Nikki Gardiner, Boogie Bounce Extreme Instructor got everyone sweating to pop classics on mini trampolines whilst Paul Walker Fitness Bootcamp got everyone to take part in a skipathon.

As well as bungee bouncing and the assault course every day, they also welcomed a visit from Middlethorpe Primary School. Where the school children got into teams and took on the bouncy assault course, even setting better times then most of the adults!

On the Finale ‘Fun Friday’ Chris finished his 24 hour bouncy marathon, where the St Andrew’s hospice Children’s unit came to push him over the finish line.

William Barcroft School also did their own bounce-athon on Friday and Grimsby Town Football Club have donated a signed ball to help raise money.

“It’s all to raise money for the hospice, which is such a good cause,” said Chris.

Chris has set himself a target of raising £25,000 if you are interested in helping Chris reach his total, you can donate here: https://heartmyhospice.everydayhero.com/uk/the-ultimate-challenge
