One of the UK’s leading packaging solutions providers, Ultimate Packaging Ltd, based on Grimsby’s Europarc, are generously supporting their local hospice this year by taking on ‘The Ultimate Challenge’.

This will see Ultimate Packaging host 40 fundraising challenges in a year, in celebration of St Andrew’s Hospice 40th year anniversary.

Corporate Fundraiser for St Andrew's Hospice, Becky Darnell said: “We are astounded by the level of commitment that we have received from our Corporate Supporters surrounding the anniversary, and especially from the Ultimate Group who have really gone above and beyond with The Ultimate Challenge.

"We couldn’t be more excited to work alongside them throughout the year to help raise funds for the Hospice.”

Having kick-started the fundraising with The Ultimate Bake Sale, the company are now planning other exciting challenges, including cycling, litter picking, a shark dive and The Ultimate Dance-a-thon, plus they have been collaborating with other local organisations including LCS Group and the Grimsby Institute.

“I think St Andrews hospice holds a special place within everyone, the amount of support the charity offers to terminally ill patients and cancer sufferers is truly incredible," said Laura Donington, Marketing Executive of Ultimate Group.

"From my own experience, I will be forever grateful for the help my family has received over the years.

"They gave my 'nana' a place, not only where she could be taken care of, but a place where she made friends and thrived off social activities that gave her enjoyment towards the end of her life.

"As a company we recognise how this charity has helped change so many lives and understand the importance of raising funds, so that they can carry on the amazing work that they do.”

St Andrew’s is North East Lincolnshire’s only Adult Hospice offering specialist care to patients, families and carers who are affected by life limiting illness.

Becky added: “Without support, donations and volunteering from corporate organisations, local business, community groups and individuals we simply could not operate, which is why we are continually working to find new ways of building a spread of sustainable income streams in order to keep delivering the vital services offered by St Andrew’s and Andy’s Children’s Hospice.”
