Award-winning chef Paul Robinson is giving up his time for free to cook for 30 lucky couples.
You'll no doubt have heard by now about our fantastic Valentine's Dinner, being held here at the hospice on February 14.
Thirty lucky couples will be cooked for by two of the area's top chefs, Steven Bennett and Paul Robinson, who have created an exclusive four-course menu to raise money for St Andrew's.
Here we find out more about Paul....
Award-winning chef Paul Robinson has travelled around the world with the Royal Navy, where he completed his training in 1996, from Brazil, India and China to Norway, Mexico and more. In 2000, he became Leading Chef and was galley manager of HMS Westminster until leaving the service in 2003 to invest in his own restaurant.
The Willow, in Lincolnshire, won several awards under his five-year ownership, during which Paul completed a degree in Food Manufacturing. He sold the restaurant and pursued a career in education, and is now a curriculum manager and leader in hospitality at the Grimsby Institute.
He is well-known for managing and organising the nationwide Young Seafood Chef of the Year competition, and spends his spare time developing recipes for Bel Foods, as an ambassador for the various cheeses they produce, including Boursin, Leerdammer, Port Salut, Laughing Cow and Cantaduo.
He said: “The Institute is a long-term supporter of the hospice, and I’m delighted to be involved.”
