Please read the updated visiting arrangements in light of the ongoing Coronavirus situation.

Please be aware that we have further updated our visiting arrangements in light of the ongoing Coronavirus situation. Although these have been difficult changes to make, we have to protect the welfare of our patients, staff and the wider community.

  • Visiting times are restricted to 4-6pm
  • Two identified people are able to visit each patient. We request that the same two people visit each day, rather than taking in turns. Although we know that this is not ideal, the less footfall we have to the hospice, the more able we are to control the risk of infection.
  • Upon entry, please buzz through to the inpatient unit so a member of our team can let you in. Please be patient, as there may not be someone available immediately, but rest assured we are on our way.

You will be screened by one of our team upon arrival to the reception area. This consists of a series of questions regarding your current health. You will also be offered a temperature check. Unfortunately if the nurse is not satisfied with the answers you provide i.e. you have a new cough or have a high temperature, then you will be asked to leave the building and self isolate. Please respect the nurses decision and leave the hospice site. If you need to discuss further then please feel free to contact the Hospice and ask for one of the senior clinical managers.

  • You will be asked to wash your hands on arrival and adhere to social distancing.
  • Please keep your phone in your bag.
  • Any requests to deviate from the above must be raised with the Nurse in Charge whose decision must be respected.

We would like to thank you for your support. We understand that this is a very difficult time for everyone. Your understanding and cooperation are helping us to protect your loved ones and our staff.  Thank you.
